I took my first painting class in 1989 and have been painting ever since. I started in watercolor & pastel and dabbled in other mediums. Dancing women paintings were my trademark, as these paintings represent my hope that all women feel free enough “to get up & dance”.
I have been painting on silk for almost 30 years. I love the vivid colors and flow of the paints & dyes on the silk. I am inspired by strong colors, dancing lines and anything to do with nature. I spend as much time as I can outside with my camera to capture subjects for my silk paintings (heron, turtles, dragonflies, butterflies are a few). I am also passionate for purple & use it as much as I can! My studio is in South Burlington, VT. I sell cards, prints and original artwork. I am presently in the Arthound Gallery in Essex, VT. |
